"For me, church was never this interesting nor this challenging or exciting!"

A few of our pastors came together and formed a choir. It was like a dream come true....
The Pretoria Faith Community is a unique expression of the Body of Christ. It is not localized in one campus or around one church building. It doesn’t have one central Sunday service (some of our “services” are not even on Sundays!) To be honest, not all of us like to go to Sunday services! Many of us work full-time at one of our Faith Communities, serving the community in a variety of ways. Many of us don't. We are not a homogenous group by any shot - some are young, some are old, some are white, some are black, some are Afrikaans, some are Bapedi, some are Nigerian, some are official members of the Dutch Reformed Church, some are not. The only language that we share is the Good News of Jesus and the only important "membership" that we believe in is to be a member of the Kingdom of God.
In this we find our vision for Tshwane: A City for God.
Come and join us!

Colour? What colour?!Our church has whities and blackies. Who cares? God certainly doesn't! In the new South Africa we better start doing it right. At PFC we try. It is still a challenge sometimes, but we are learning, like a new family to embrace diversity.

All ages! Our Afrikaans community's average age is 79! But they are not a "oor-die-muur"-group at all. Far from it. As a matter of fact they have opened their doors to the young people in their community and today our church comprises of people of all ages. Read more about our history.

Homeless & DestituteIn both our Arcadia and Sunnyside Faith Communities we reach out to the homeless and destitute. Our Nightchurch has organized themselves in a mix of people: city dwellers, homeless, students. At our Hub in Sunnyside homeless and destitute people find a home.

Kids everywhere!Children are high up on our list of priorities. Children come together on a weekly basis in small groups; they worship on Wednesdays in their own church service; they practise for shows; go on camps; learn in our Education Centre and attend Sunday school. It makes us all feel like little kids again!

PENIn 2011 our church was strengthened by a partnership with PEN (Read more about it!) We opened our doors to them and they enriched our way of doing church. Together we learn what it means to be a community of Jesus' people in the inner city of Tshwane.

StudentsOur inner city is full of students. At our Arcadia Faith Community we reach out to these students. As a matter of fact, two other student communities are now linked to the AFC. At the South African Women's Federation training school in Colbyn, Pretoria and at the Foundation, satelite faith communities have started operations.
